Phase 1 - Miata Disassembly
The first step in this restoration project was almost complete disassembly of the car. This was in preparation for the body shop. The car is about to get a new color and I wanted anything white to become the new color.

This is the engine removal.
The rear end was completely stripped. Notice the superficial rust that was hiding under the panels.
The interior was also removed. Along with it, the convertible top.
The dashboard needs to be removed to get all of the carpet out.
The front right fender was disposed of as was the trunklid. This was due to rust that would be better treated with replacement.
Now this is a lightweight sports car!!
